It was only a matter of time before Hot Topic started selling Keyboard Cat tshirts, but since keyboard cat meme creator and Videogum tipster extraordinaire Brad O'Farrell gets part of the money, let's make this the next Frankie Says Relax. Years from now, it would be pretty hilarious if the summer of '09 could be visually referenced on film by a character wearing this shirt.
I like how the Hot Topic description is completely out of touch with the reference: "Fitted Pink Tee with a picture of some orange cat playing a piano or something. Above is the cryptic phrase: 'Play me off, Keyboard Cat'... whatever, buy it! it's so punk rock!"

I can't tell you how excited I was to talk to Brad about being from the same crappy North Carolina area. We grew up minutes away from each other. I understand he makes about 24 cents from every shirt. I think that number should be more like "all the monies," because he's a funny guy.

I've always suspected that Hot Topic's market is exclusively 12 year old girls, and the hair and makeup on that model ("Jenny Lewis Geisha"? I don't know) is not convincing me otherwise.
