But I haven't felt this way about a movie in almost five years (Eternal Sunshine. How can it have been this long?):
I can't even watch the trailer now without crying. I'm SO wary of managing expectations, but I haven't lived in a movie for days like this in a really long time. It's like a great novel or an epic dream, it colors everything. Not to sound all Drew Barrymore, but if you approach this movie openly and as a fairy tale/parable, it will blow your mind.
It's all I can think about. Slumdog Millionaire. Cinderella meets Scarface meets wonderful.
amen, sister. this is currently my favorite movie of the year, and I don't see it being dethroned in the next 35 days.
p.s. JCVD is my second favorite. don't judge until you've seen it for yourself.

I am not on the band wagon. I think it is a good movie, but I think it is more about nothing can compete, because everything else that has been released is so lack luster. It is different, it looks different, it has different actors than we are used to and it is hyped, much like JUNO was. But, who am I to say, I didn't like Little Miss Sunshine either.
