Like all of these "give us the next metrosexuals!" trend-naming articles, today's Observer story about girls who dress like Juno (collective unconscious alert!) is both completely dumb and completely fascinating. My friend Moe is in it and comes off hilarious, thank god (that's not the fate of most people in articles like this one, to understate.) The quotes are mostly priceless and should be discovered personally for maximum delight, but this is my favorite:
“If I’m going to a house party, I’ll wear a dress, all right?” Ms. Schwartz said. “Of course, I’ll dress it down with the shoes or a giant blanket or something.
Will someone please provide photo evidence of someone rocking "a giant blanket" at a party. Thank you.
Also be sure to notice that, in true New York messed-up-value-system fashion, to be an "Urbane Tomboy" (no, that is not going to catch on), you still have to:
1. Be 'hot' and
2. Spend a lot of money on clothes
So basically the takeaway is that there are pretty women out there who are currently not wearing high heels. BREAKING!
Also, where exactly are these spontaneous games of Prada-pants pickup basketball occurring? They are not occurring.
Professional photo organizer?
Wow.

I was at a party last week and saw a woman that wore men's cowboy boots AND a blanket. I think she was homeless.
