"I can't imagine the utterance of this sentence, "I need to go to the Shore Mall to get...", unless it ended with "...scabies."
fourfour brings us along on a tour of the Saddest Mall in America. Hysterical! We had a mall like that in Tallahassee where I saw my first movie ('Song of the South') and bought stamps in bags of 300 for my "I only like the pretty ones" fake philatelic phase. It was called the Northwood Mall and eventually they gave up and now it's the Northwood Office Center and state workers work there.
AMAZING! Although, I am experiencing nausea from the roaches. It kind of ruined the hilarity of the post. Kind of.

I think every old mall in Florida looks like this!! I worked at an AMC theater in one during high school (K-Mart was the biggest store - yeah, it was that bad) and someone got shot right in front of it during the matinee, right by the fountain. Not sure if it had roaches in it, but I'm willing to bet it did. Besides the constant stamp, coin, and baseball card collecting tables in the middle we also had a Christian book and music store chock full of Christian rock and Precious Moments figurines.

My first movie was Song of The South. My mom tells me you can't find it anywhere anymore because it's racist.

I remember when Northwood Mall had the public library in it. That was such a scary place when I was kid.
