there were a dic-load of cartoons it came after. inspector gadget, heathcliff, denis the menace, he-man (i think) etc. etc.

Yeah, I found that picture while researching a short-lived cartoon called Kissyfur to see if it was really a show or just in my mind. Also, coworker:
"Last year there were full-page congratulations ads in Variety celebrating "30 years of Dic."
I made the obvious joke.
