* An essay by Stella's Michael Showalter about his upcoming movie, "The Baxter."
* Last fall I wrote about the movie "Dig" and Joel Gion. Ever since then I've gotten about an email a week from someone wishing to find out more about Joel or contact him, and I haven't written back to any of them because I've never met Joel and have no clue how to reach him. So hopefully people Googling him will find this instead of my original post from now on. I don't know how to contact Joel. Good luck, though.
* I've been officially obsessed with the song "Music Is My Boyfriend" by the Hidden Cameras for months now - it's my #1 most played song. I finally took the time to find the mp3! I think part of the reason I love it is because it sounds like a Christian sing-along-song - just insert "Jesus" for "music", ignore the dirty parts, and it's like you're back at Baptist summer camp, if you're me! Either way, though, every time I play that song for someone they totally freak out on the first listen.
* ATTENTION COMEDIANS AND COMEDY WRITERS:
Do you want to be part of a top-secret-for-now, potentially high-ish profile (but definitely good for the resume) online project? Email me with "COMEDIAN" in the subject line. Be sure to give me your website link if you have one, a very short bio, and a link to a humor piece you've done (can be video, audio, written, whatever, as long as it can be seen on the web.)
UPDATE: Wow, I got more than a hundred emails from comedians! I have more than enough to read for now - those who have already written will hear from me soon. Thanks!
